The Objective
A key objective for Thrombosis UK is to support, promote and inform research into blood clots.
We are seeking your support for our 2022 Thrombosis UK Research Appeal
Donations to the Thrombosis UK Research Appeal will be specifically be used to support research projects into understanding more about the causes, prevention and management of blood clots also known as thrombosis, deep vein thrombosis (DVT- blood clots usually formed in the legs), pulmonary embolism (PE - blood clots in the lungs) or venous thromboembolism, (VTE, both DVT + PE).
Since launching our research appeals in 2018 over £18,500 had been donated. You can read how this money is supporting research projects.
We hope to raise even more in 2022 and this year we are supporting research into reducing the psychological impact of blood clots and improving outcomes for all those affected and at risk through our REGAIN programme.
Every penny donated for research helps to support research projects tackling – cause - prevention – treatment and - improving management and care for everyone effected by and living with thrombosis.
