Ensuring people get the right care, in the right place, at the right time across the health and social care system is the key to making it sustainable and effective, and developing a shared vision about how to do this across health and care locally will improve everyone’s health and wellbeing now and in the future.
With this in mind the National Institute for health and Care Excellence (NICE) has recently developed a suite of resources to highlight how using NICE guidance, quality standards, advice and practical tools will help tackle the priorities that have been identified by sustainability and transformation partnerships (STP) or integrated care systems (ICS).
NICE has worked closely with partners including NHS E, Right Care, PHE and others to ensure that these are aligned with national priorities, specifically those in the Five Year Forward View and Quality Matters.
In addition to general information on how NICE guidance, quality standards, advice and practical tools can help, NICE has also developed some topic specific resources based on a review of all 44 STP plans.

Further topic specific resources will be added to the Sustainability and Transformation section of the NICE website as they become available.
NICE welcomes feedback on their resources.
