It is with sadness that Thrombosis UK share the news of Mr Brian Gardner’s death.
Brian died peacefully on 22rd February. He was a founding trustee for Thrombosis UK, or Life Blood as the charity was then called.

Andrea is a Trustee for Thrombosis UK and Lead Advanced Practitioner at the Princess of Wales Hospital, Bridgend, Wales.
At the awards, Andrea was awarded the highly acclaimed ‘Judges Award’ for her work in advancing VTE care.
The Judges Award is an annual award
made by the Judging Committee to an individual or team who have
demonstrated exceptional drive and leadership in establishing an
exemplar anticoagulation service. In making the award, the Judges
reviewed data measures along with personal endorsements on the measured
and real differences the award winner has made to patient safety,
experience and outcomes through their service provision.
