September 2019 saw us celebrating Patient Safety Week in collaboration with Manchester Royal Infirmary Anticoagulation and thrombosis awareness stand

T’UK and WTD 2018

Annually, World Thrombosis Day (WTD) takes place on 13th October, Rudolf Virchow’s birthday. Virchow was the first clinician to describe the three broad categories that are thought to contribute to thrombosis. This is known as Virchow’s triad.

Around the globe more than 1500 events take place in over 92 countries. In the UK Thrombosis UK made this the biggest WTD yet! Holding awareness stands, information events, early career healthcare professional VTE training sessions and supporting media coverage in press, radio and TV.

Let’s Talk Clots 2018

As part of Thrombosis UK's Let's Talk About Clots campaign, a series of conferences taking place across the UK.

The Let's Talk About Clots conferences were split across two key audiences, with dedicated meetings aimed at Healthcare Professionals (HCP's) and also Patient and Carers.
