We were all shocked to learn of the tragic death of Sir David Amess and many tributes were paid to him. The prime minister said he was “one of the kindest, nicest, most gentle people in politics.”

Our thoughts and love are with Dawn’s family on the sad news of Dawn’s death.

After diagnosis of a cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) Dawn made contact with Thrombosis UK.

Thrombosis UK has been awarded the global 'Activity of the Year' award from World Thrombosis Day (WTD) and the International Society on Haemostasis and Thrombosis (ISTH).

A key objective for Thrombosis UK is to support, promote and inform research into blood clots.

We are seeking your support for our 2021 Thrombosis UK Research Appeal

Donations to the Thrombosis UK Research Appeal will be specifically be used to support research projects into understanding more about the causes, prevention and management of blood clots also known as thrombosis, deep vein thrombosis (DVT- blood clots usually formed in the legs), pulmonary embolism (PE - blood clots in the lungs) or venous thromboembolism, (VTE, both DVT + PE).
